This session will illuminate the global travel distribution context and implications of proposed deregulation of the global distribution system industry in Europe now under active consideration by the European Commission. This session will address:
- the symbiotic relationship between the GDS industry and modern travel management
- the key consumer protections built into current EU GDS regulations
- how the EC will develop its formal proposal and the potential outcomes and impacts.
