The goals of this symosium are twofold. First, we wish to explore and better understand the unique needs of a large segment of the Academy of Management who face the decision whether or not to transition from full-time university employment to other activities in retirement. Second, we want to explore alternative paths senior scholars can take in retirement beyond the university.
