Lorinda Lewis loves to facilitate learning and “to challenge thinking so that learning happens”. She has been an on-site business trainer and facilitator for 18 years, with considerable experience in business communication, management, and leadership skills. Lorinda honed her sales, customer service, and merchandising skills as an outside salesperson. This prepared her for a career in sales, management, and training with General Mills, where she also was responsible for developing, leading, and implementing a district wide re-engineering and remodeling project. By using facilitation techniques and creating a comfortable climate for participants, Lorinda encourages interactive and experiential learning.

Description
No one intends to be defensive when communicating, but most of us are when we feel attacked or backed into corner. The problem is that communication drops drastically as defenses go up. When you practice non-defensive communication, people you couldn't connect with before will now listen and cooperate. Examine the six false assumptions that cause misunderstandings and learn the seven steps of conflict resolution. Lorinda shows you how constructive feedback encourages the other person to listen and cooperate. She offers a strategic anger management approach that keeps the peace. You'll leave knowing how to gain others' cooperation and reach your objectives.
