Inventory management involves dealing with dependency, variability, and managing interfaces, both internally and externally. Lead times, however, are often misunderstood and wrongly estimated, resulting in stock overages or stockouts. Analyzing lead times can be fertile improvement territory, and this session will demonstrate the importance of conducting such an analysis.
