Thomas Bornemann is the Managing Partner of the consumer products practice at Clarkston Consulting. Leading a renowned team of industry experts, he defines thought leading services and solutions that help clients achieve business performance excellence. Combining over 18 years of industry and consulting experience, he has assisted senior executives managing the world's top brands in designing, implementing and executing strategies to meet both short and long term business goals. He currently serves on several thought-leading advisory boards, including the Consumer Goods Technology Research Advisory Board, and has served as a lecturer at the University of North Carolina and Wake Forest University. Prior to joining Clarkston, Bornemann held leadership positions with RJR Nabisco where he lead the world-call sales and operations planning process, Bayer AG, and Science Applications International Corporation. He earned an M.B.A. from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a B.S. in marketing from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
Juan Sebastian Valencia is a senior consultant with Clarkston Consulting. He has over seven years of supply chain management experience, with the last three years focused on dedicated contract carriage transportation, site, transportation mode, and vendor selection, inbound and outbound distribution design, pricing and negotiation of transportation contracts, and distribution network optimization. He has spent several years managing projects on inventory and warehouse management, production scheduling, JIT implementation, and ERP vendor selection. Mr. Valencia’s prior experience has been in operations management, demand forecasting, demand and supply planning, and MRP execution. Recently, Mr. Valencia has been heavily involved in Direct to Store Delivery (DSD) and Trade Promotion Optimization (TPO). Mr. Valencia received his B.S. in production engineering from EAFIT University, in Medellin, Colombia, and his M.B.A. in logistics and supply chain management from the University of Dallas.
