This session will introduce process mapping and include hands-on mapping activities. After a general overview of systems theory and process mapping basics, participants will individually create a process map of a process common to everyone. Participants will compare maps and discuss differences. Participants will then forms teams and create a new process map of the same common process. Upon completion, teams will discuss differences between the individual maps and the team map. Finally, a general overview of process map analysis will be given followed by another team session of analyzing the map created by the team.
