Description
Operations management may appear complex, but manufacturing is fundamentally built on ten principles. It is when these ten principles are violated or ignored that manufacturing problems develop. Steven A. Melnyk, professor of operations and supply chain management at Michigan State University, and Randall Schaefer, CPIM, an independent consultant, identify these ten principles, and explain the problems that can occur when each one is disregarded.
