Description
Companies implement manufacturing pull systems to reduce costs. But there's no one-size-fits-all pull system solution; each one is designed to meet the unique needs of a company's manufacturing environment. David Mowrey, founder of The PIM Group, and Matt Cahall, vice president of operations at Lindsay Manufacturing, share the process of designing and implementing a manufacturing pull system for bulk parts. Their case study on Lindsay Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer of farm irrigation systems, shows the importance of customization in pull system development.
