Description
When beginning the lean transformation process, the task at hand can seem daunting. J.R. McGee, a lean six sigma expert, and Ray Harvey, plant manager for Albany International, Engineered Fabrics Division, show you the success that can come from committing your company to being lean. From the initial value stream mapping event and what-if exercise to the final product (a new factory that implements solid lean and flow concepts), see how a small team executed the conceptual design, planning, engineering, and construction of a new plant. Discover how this manufacturing operation was able to remain in the United States despite strong internal and external overseas pressure.
