Mark Lanum has been with UW for more than eight years, during which the university successfully conducted its $2.5 billion Creating Futures campaign. Though he spent most of these years in information and reporting services as Assistant Director for Stewardship and Manager of Campaign Reporting, Lanum spent the past two years overseeing all aspects of prospect management and tracking. His responsibilities included tracking the portfolios of more than 100 fundraisers and the continuing development of UW's Top 25 portfolio management system. Lanum holds a bachelor’s degree from Trinity Lutheran College.

Description
The University of Washington has developed and implemented a set of metrics that measures fundraiser performance during the past five years. This interactive session will look at UW's work with accountability metrics from a management and fundraiser's point of view. In addition, the speaker will explore the benefits and pitfalls that UW has experienced as a result.
