Jeff Keyak has been involved in the field of energy and facilities for over 30 years in both public and private sectors. His current responsibilities include managing KP's national energy portfolio, developing and implementing energy and cost savings programs, and providing national expertise in plant operations and facilities. Jeff holds a BS in Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and MS in Business Administration from Boston University, is a registered Professional Mechanical Engineer, and is a Certified Commissioning Authority.

Walt Vernon, has been involved in the design and construction of healthcare facilities for over 20-years. He has designed healthcare projects for a wide range of owners nationwide. As a result of his experience and expertise, he currently serves as a Principal Member for the electrical Technical Committee for NFPA 99 the Health Care Code, and co-chairs the ANSI/IEEE White Book National Standard for the design of electrical systems in healthcare buildings. Walt is one of the electrical engineers on the AIA Guidelines Revision committee and he is the electrical engineer for the California Hospital Safety Board.

Description
By time this presentations is held, Phase I of Kaiser Permanente's program to install as many megawatts and solar panels as possible will be in place. This session will describe Kaiser's project and by far one of the largest commercial installations of solar panels in this history of the work. Attendees will be able to:
- Learn about the benefits of this project
- Discuss the details of power purchasing agreements of no cap installations for solar energy
- Understand the financial mechanisms and incentives used to make this project work.
