Description
JCAHO provides credit for Building Maintenance Programs but does not specify minimum testing requirements. This presentation will include: the applicable codes and standards, inspection, testing and maintenance requirements, documentation requirements and recent code changes. It will also provide methods to evaluate the effectiveness of your programs. Project will include Fire Protection Systems covered to include: fire hydrants, fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, dampers, exit signs, battery pack emergency lighting, doors and hardware and fire/smoke barriers. At the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
- Know what applicable codes and standards apply to fire and life safety features
- Understand the requirements and methods for the inspection, testing and maintenance of fire and life safety features
- Be able to prepare and provide required documentation for your fire and life safety feature testing.
