Description
A primary objective for the utilization of building information modeling (BIM) is to create a life-like model of a facility and the systems contained within that facility. This approach makes the model the basis for information flow. Facility specific vendor information stored within the model content database can provide facility managers with a myriad of information including equipment locations, equipment sizes, manufacturer information, warranty notices, and service history. Utilization of this live three dimensional data base is a valuable tool for the facility management of healthcare facilities.
-
Describe and demonstrate the utilization of the BIM model for healthcare facility management
-
Identify and assess the benefits of content information stored within a BIM Model
-
Identify and describe the application of Building Information Modeling and its current trend in use
