The Mercy hospital and clinics in Joplin, Mo., took a direct hit from an F5 tornado on May 22, 2011. Hear the story of this disastrous event and lessons learned from those directly involved during and immediately after the building was rendered uninhabitable. This is the incredible story of how a health system evacuated and subsequently secured its facilities, erected a temporary field hospital and then an interim hospital, and now is planning a replacement facility.
