  • Interpret Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) payment regulations for hospitals and how pharmacists may have an impact through interdisciplinary involvement on inpatient pain teams.
  • Justify pharmacy involvement in interdisciplinary care of pain and symptom management.
  • Through case-based learning, clinically evaluate and make recommendations for patients suffering from non-malignant chronic pain, cancer pain, and acute, post-operative pain as well as those experiencing common symptomatology encountered during end-of-life care.
