Affiliate Volunteer Forum—The Value Proposition: Attracting and Keeping Members in Troubled Times

Description

Many experts agree that associations, including state organizations, are currently facing a crisis situation.  The struggling economy, rising unemployment, and the increased competition for members' time and dollars are all robbing associations of membership and dues revenue.  The declining economy and instant access to information on the Internet are making members question why they need an association to stay current in their industry and/or profession.

Can your organization survive dwindling membership levels and reduced volunteer levels?  Can you adapt quickly enough to meet the challenges you're facing?

While the current social and economic changes confronting associations are sobering, experts agree that association leadership can provide the direction that's needed to adapt to change and succeed in today's tough economic environment.

Join your state affiliate peers to hear a very timely presentation by Greg Fine, CAE, Director of Communications and Marketing for the Association Forum of Chicagoland.  He will lead a discussion of increasing your association's value proposition and provide a series of best practices that have been used by other associations.
