  • Apply a process for determining the initial dosing regimen for an adult obese patient when limited dosing information is not available in the usual product information brochures.
  • Apply a process for determining the initial dosing regimen in a pediatric obese patient when limited dosing information is not available in the usual product information brochures.
  • Determine correct dosing of beta-lactam antimicrobials in obese patients.
  • Determine correct dosing of heparin and low molecular weight heparins in obese patients.
  • Discuss the limitations of using adjusted body weight calculations for drug dosing in obese patients.
