  • Cite the new interpretation of the standard requirements related to beyond-use dating of multi-dose vials and the CDC guidelines related to Safe Injection Practices as it pertains to pharmacy practice.
  • Describe the new requirements for National Patient Safety Goals for medication reconciliation starting July 1, 2011 and how they differ from the previous requirements.
  • Describe three major changes in the survey process for home care organizations, with emphasis on home infusion organizations.
  • List the three most problematic medication management standards in terms of non-compliance by organizations surveyed in home care in 2010, and the most common reason why each was scored non-compliant.
  • List the top three most problematic medication-related National Patient Safety Goals' requirements for home care in 2010 including the most common reasons for non-compliance.
