With more applicants than programs, our profession needs you to step up and start a residency program in your institution. Explore the benefits of developing a residency program and having residents at your site. What’s required, how your institution currently measures up, and how to get ready – it’s all here in this three-hour workshop.

LEARNER OUTCOMES:

  • Define challenges, and strategies for meeting the challenges, to starting a residency program.
  • Describe approaches taken by organizations with successful new residency programs.
  • Describe the benefits and summarize requirements for starting a residency program that meets ASHP accreditation standards.
