Description
If Meaningful Use regulations have made it more challenging for you to determine your plans for content construction in CPOE, you’re not alone. Many decision makers are unsure of whether to contract with third-party providers or build their own order sets. In this session you’ll clarify the value of prebuilding order sets within your own CPOE system, and list the advantages/disadvantages of either outsourcing or customizing order sets in-house.

  • Debate the clinical, functional, and technical validity and verification that is required when implementing these order sets.
  • Describe the value of prebuilding order sets within your CPOE system.
  • List advantages and disadvantages of in-house and outsourcing customized order sets.
