Meghan Swarthout, PharmD, MBA, Division Director, Ambulatory and Care Transitions, The Johns Hopkins Hospital
MEGHAN DAVLIN, Pharm.D., MBA is the Division Director of Ambulatory and Care Transitions for the Department of Pharmacy at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. In her current role, Meghan oversees the clinical services and drug distribution operations for ambulatory clinics and infusion centers. She maintains a clinical practice in anticoagulation clinic as well. Meghan is passionate about improving patient care through effective management, and her professional interests include clinical coordination, professional policy, and leadership development.
Meghan is active in the American Society of Health System Pharmacists. She has served as a member of the Commission on Credentialing, a member of the Section of Pharmacy Managers Leadership Development Advisory Group, and the Chair of the New Practitioners Forum Public Affairs and Advocacy Advisory Group. As a pharmacy student, Meghan was a member of the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum Executive Committee.
Meghan earned her Pharm.D. degree from Ohio Northern University. Following graduation, Meghan completed her PGY1/PGY2 in Health System Pharmacy Administration at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and earned her MBA in Medical Services Management from The Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business. During her time at Ohio Northern, Meghan also earned a minor in Communication Arts and Theater, and in her free time, she enjoys attending musical theater productions.
