Description
This interactive session will analyze cases in and out of healthcare and detail how investigations are handled to get to the “truth.” You will experience a fresh way of looking at things with new skills to enable us to think outside of our world and become more effective in investigating events and getting to the meaningful causes that will allow us to begin to develop risk reduction strategies. You will be challenged to bring the patient into the event investigation process through the experiences of our faculty for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

  • Develop steps to incorporate patients and families into the safety process as a member of the team.
  • Evaluate an event through the lens of a pharmacist and attorney.
