- Design an anticoagulation treatment plan utilizing one of the new oral anticoagulants for a patient requiring secondary VTE prophylaxis.
- Evaluate which new oral anticoagulants are efficacious and safe for use in special patient populations.
- For a patient presenting with acute VTE, recommend an anticoagulation treatment strategy and determine if use of one of the new oral anticoagulants is appropriate.
