John Manzo, PharmD, FASHP received his B.S. in Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science followed by a Pharmacy Practice Residency. After obtaining a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from SUNY at Buffalo, Dr. Manzo held positions as a clinical pharmacy practitioner and manager and eventually a corporate pharmacy director with a focus on implementing electronic medication management systems and associated process redesign and clinical transformation. This led to a product strategy/management and clinical consultant role with a major electronic medical record vendor. He currently practices as a managing consultant for IBM Healthlink Solutions where he assists healthcare organizations plan for, implement, support and monitor safe and efficient electronic medication management systems and processes through clinical information technology-driven process redesign and clinical transformation, culture/change management, and a focus on the clinician/health information technology interface. Dr. Manzo has authored over 20 professional publications and participated in over 70 local, national, and international professional presentations.
