  • Identify strategies and activities that develop preceptors to be effective teachers and model practitioners for students.
  • Describe approaches to how preceptors can define student expectations and responsibilities, monitor performance and assess student competencies.
  • Determine how student involvement with patients can be documented and resulting improvements to patient care quantitated.
  • Define how to develop an affiliation agreement that defines expectations of academic-practice partnerships and related opportunities and challenges.
  • List the characteristics and components of exemplary practice partnerships based on sites/preceptors recognized as part of the AACP's Academic-Practice Partners Program Crystal Apple Award.
