Description
(Note: This series will combine with the Pharmacy Leadership Series for this session only.)

Publication of information on healthcare provider performance is debunking certain myths about the quality of care in the United States. Healthcare leaders are coming to sense that doing right thing at the right time for patients is measurable. With the release of Core Measure performance information, pharmacists are particularly in the spotlight. What should be the pharmacist's role in this fast-changing, public world – price chopper? guardian of standards? defender of new treatments? compromiser? As performance becomes more public, pharmacists will be increasingly challenged to do the right thing and to reconsider the meaning of personal responsibility.
