Gloria Ybarra is a Registered Nurse who practiced in various specialties for ten years. In 1999, she entered the world of Risk Management and has grown within this speciatly since. Gloria has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing as well as a Master's of Public Health and Education. She obtained her CPHRM in 2006 and is currently Director of Risk Management for North Colorado Medical Center and other Banner Health operations in Greeley, Colorado.

Description
As internal & external forces drive healthcare providers to take a new look at improving the safety & quality of healthcare, there are key partnerships and tools that will allow Risk/Patient Safety Managers to make a difference for their organizations, peers and patients. This presentation will provide the audience with ideas about building partnerships and utilizing quality/process improvement tools from other disciplines to achieve measurable improvements in patient outcomes & claims while increasing employee engagement and a proactive approach to making healthcare safe.
