Jonathan Bell has been practicing in the area of litigation and health law for 10 years. He obtained his J.D. from the University of Arkansas in 1999, and is board certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of legal Specialization. He has represented physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare providers in malpractice and premises cases for his entire practice, while also providing guidance in risk management, employment, contractual, and criminal issues, and additionally representing physicians, nurses and dentists before their respective Boards. He has tried over dozens of cases to verdict in state courts throughout Texas.
Erin Lunceford has been practicing in the area of litigation and health law for over 21 years. She obtained her J.D. from the University of Houston in 1988, and her board certification in personal injury trial law in 1998. She has represented physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare providers in malpractice and premises cases for her entire practice, while also providing guidance in risk management, employment and contractual issues, and additionally representing physicians, nurses and dentists before their respective Boards. She has tried over 26 cases to verdict in state courts throughout Texas, and additionally prosecuted over 21 Appeals.
Description
Criminal acts of employees, patients and third parties can affect the delivery and quality of care. Appropriate responses to criminal subpoenas, police investigations and criminal regulatory investigations (licensing boards and Office of the Inspector General) are covered as well as how the involvement of the media adds potential liability. The best way to deal with media involvement to reduce the potential civil liability consequences is explained.
