Description
Learning from losses in surgery is critical to promoting patient safety. The Physician Insurers Association of America (PIAA) closed claim data and the claims and suits from The Doctors Company/OHIC Insurance’s files are representative of national loss trends in surgery. A review of this data provides insights into the underlying causes of patient injuries. Speakers provide tools and data for risk managers to manage surgical risks.
