Judy Klein, Director of Risk Management,

Judy is Director of Risk Management for OHA Insurance Solutions, Inc.,
a med mal insurer. Judy earned a B.S. Degree in Medical Science from Alderson-Broaddus College in WV and has clinical experience as a Physician Assistant practicing in hospitals and physician offices and as a hospital Risk Manager.
Judy has extensive experience working for both physician and hospital med mal carriers in claims and risk management.
Judy speaks frequently on risk and patient safety for the OHA, OSHRM and ASHRM and is active in all of these organizations. She has served on several ASHRM committees.

Description
When healthcare facilities acquire physician office practices, it’s important to assure that risks are managed in these unique environments. Using case scenarios, this session reviews office practice claims data and prevalent allegations to focus on key areas to address in the office practice setting from a risk, liability and patient safety perspective. Take-home tools and policies are reviewed and shared.
