Description
Mock trial of a brain-damage medical negligence case against a hospital, featuring nationally recognized plaintiff and defense lawyers (two for each side), with leading physicians in their fields serving as expert witnesses. Trial to feature opening statements, direct and cross-examination of fact witnesses and experts, and closing arguments. Fact scenario to feature issues involving hospital polices/procedures, nurse and physician liability, and disputed medical principles.

LEARNER OUTCOMES:
  • Appreciate the level of skill & expertise required in presenting and defending high exposure cases.
  • Learn the benefits and uses of technology in the trial of a complex civil suit in the 21st century.
  • Understand the tactics and elements involved in trial of a high-exposure, high-risk lawsuit.
