Lucy has 18 years experience in healthcare and is currently responsible for the leadership positions of patient safety officer, risk manager,and compliance officer for a small,rural hospital.She holds certifications in patient safety,risk management,quality,and compliance and a paralegal certificate. Lucy speaks frequently,is a part-time consultant and an instructor in the professional development program of a local college. She is a 2009/2010 Graduate of the AHA/NPSF/ASHRM Leadership Fellowship program. Ms. Lajcsak is also pursuing a degree in Workforce Development.
Margaret Curtin is the Director of Risk Management and Education for the Michigan Professional Insurance Exchange. She is a CPHRM and FASHRM. She is a 2009/2010 Graduate of the AHA/NPSF/ASHRM Leadership Fellowship program and the reciepent of the ASHRM Scholarship for the Fellowship.
Description
This presentation will provide an introduction to the AHA/NPSF/ASHRM Leadership Fellowship Program experience. Presenters will share information on concepts, methods and tools taught to facilitate bringing about patient safety innovations in our institutions. The presentation will conclude with a discussion of the presenter's action learning projects.
