Description
This session looks at an outline for key risk mitigation steps after an event is identified. Using several case scenarios, this session will look at ways to identify needed immediate actions as well as how to mobilize a team to accomplish both investigation and mitigation. Assigning each team one area of focus allows for a complete investigation to be completed in 24-48 hours, while also providing the groundwork for a strategic approach to patient outreach, provider coordination and appropriate documentation.
LEARNER OUTCOMES:
-
Gather team findings into a comprehensive risk mitigation plan
-
Identify events needing 'four team' approach to investigation
-
Outline steps for each team, including timeline for completion
