Marcie is the corporate Vice President for Safety and Risk Management for Texas Health Resources, a 14 hospital system located in North Texas. Her areas of responsibility include patient safety, risk management, environment of care, and emergency management. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration from Ottawa University and her MS in Business and Management from Southern Nazarene University. Her clinical experience is in emergency medicine where she was a certified emergency nurse for 16 years and the Director of a Level I trauma center. She is active in ASHRM and NTSHRM and has served on numerous committees.

Description
This presentation demonstrates how Tool Kits can be used to successfully design,standardize, and implement successful patient safety initiatives. The prototype that will be shown has been utilized and proven to be a highly reliable methodology in adddressing complex processes throughout a diverse 14 hospital healthcare system. The development of the Tool Kits supports and sustains a simplified method for focused resources to produce solutions that promote safe and reliable healthcare. The participant will receive project plan templates,outlines and samples of successful Tool Kits with directions and guidance that can be adapted and utilzed in their own unique healtcare environment.
