In thirty years, ASHRM has seen risk management go from a focus on clinical exposures to the comprehensive approach of enterprise risk management. The presenters will emphasize strategic issues, professional development and the importance of enterprise risk management for contemporary healthcare. Tools, techniques and risk domains will be discussed in the context of healthcare ERM. Using a series of case studies in different healthcare settings, the presenters will demonstrate how ERM can be used as a powerful analytical tool to identify important risk opportunities and solutions throughout a healthcare organization.
