As the Principal of Quality Plus Solutions LLC a risk consulting business based in Maryland, she conducts risk assessments nationwide and assists local organizations with risk and patient safety initiatives. As a Legal Nurse Expert, she remains abreast of current litigation in Behavioral Health. Monica's passion is helping organizations in assuring quality care and mitiating risk with the behavioral health population.
Description
The rate of behavioral health patients being treated and managed on non-behavioral health units is on a consistent rise as a result of the lack of appropriate available settings and resources. This session will focus on the enterprise risk management of behavioral health patients in acute care settings. High risk issues will be reviewed and organizational mitigation strategies will be presented. Case studies will be discussed and a tool box will be provided for a take away.
