The presentation will discuss new challenges and risks that must be considered and efficiently managed by health care providers given the proliferation of electronically stored information, including electronic medical records, in the health care industry. The presentation will define the scope of electornically stored information, provide an overview of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure relating to E-Discovery, provide a discussion of legal authorities and real world e-discovery examples, and provide health care providers with tools for developing a framework to address E-Discovery issues.
