Description
Since it was first adopted by the healthcare industry in the mid-80s, RCA methodology has not evolved appreciably. This session will provide an overview of how portal technology can be used to improve the RCA process, thereby reducing the number of meetings required, improving participation, streamlining record-keeping and report generation, allowing for remote participation of key non-employed team members as well as off-shift workers, and safeguarding sensitive information while at the same time allowing for on-demand access by appropriate individuals.
LEARNER OUTCOMES:
-
Identify three barriers to particpation in the RCA process by front line clinical staff.
-
List five ways in which portal technology can improve the RCA process.
-
Understand how portal technology enhances collaboration.
