Brian LaSalle has managed liability claims in 27 states, and has spent the last decade managing medical professional liability claims. Brian has managed claims and litigation for hospital and physician focused insurance companies, group and single parent captives, as well as self insured organizations. His experience includes managing TPAs, supervising counsel and direct hands on management. Brian has earned a Masters in Human Resource Development with a focus in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, as well as holding the CPCU and ARM designations. Brian is currently the Director of Claims Management for the Lehigh Valley Health Network.

Description
Creation and development of a skilled, efficient, and cost effective internal professional and/or general liability claims management program can be a challenging undertaking. This session will present the core ideas of the skill sets that are needed in personnel, the organizational commitment requirements of structure and resources, and the leadership skills needed to build a proactive program that can deliver optimal results. Additionally, as a particular organization may have different goals for their claims management program, (such as staunch defense orientation, conflict resolution, publicity minimization, etc) varying methodologies will be addressed for developing a program that suits your needs.
