SPEAKER (S):
Carol Rollins, MS, RD, PharmD, CNSD, BCNSP
Randall Friese, MD
Description
"Patients frequently undergo procedures that result in an altered GI
anatomy such as the Whipple procedure and Billroth anastomoses.
These anatomical changes may result in a variety of nutritional
consequences. The session is intended to give clinicians a better
understanding of the different procedures and potential consequences
related to nutrition. At the conclusion of this session, you
will be able to appropriately nourish patients who have an altered GI
anatomy."
