Dr. Rengan is an assistant professor in Radiation Oncology and his field of research is lung cancer. His long-term research focus is to better understand the response of normal lung parenchyma and lung tumor to radiation. The ultimate goal would be to enhance lung cancer response to radiotherapy while protecting the surrounding normal tissue. Achieving this goal will rely heavily on translational research, which would be his focus.
