Description
The session will consist of a multi-disciplinary international expert panel that will discuss cases where level 1 evidence regarding the management of adenocarinoma of prostate is available but when level 1 evidence is lacking experts will provide their rationale for their optimal treatment approach. The specific scenarios will include men with newly diagnosed localized, locally advanced, post-operative pT3,4 and/or margin + disease in the setting of an undetecable PSA in addition to post-operative or post-radiation PSA recurrence. An audience interactive format will be used to enhance learning and provide an opportunity to ask additonal questions. At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to do the following: 1. Discuss the randomized data regarding dose escalation and hormonal therapy to the management of men with newly diagnosed localized and locally advanced prostate cancer. 2. Explain the randomized data regarding adjuvant radiation therapy to the patient with pT3,4 or margin + disease. 3. List the available data on the management of a rising PSA following primary surgery or radiation therapy.
