In this session, management of common head and neck cancers including those in larynx, hypopharynx, nasopharynx, oral cavity and oropharynx will be discussed with a focus on a multidisciplinary approach. Key studies, especially phase III randomized clinical trials, will be discussed. Target delineation and treatment planning with different case scenarios will be presented, focusing on the use of intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) technique. Side effects, possible complications and normal dose constraints will also be presented. Current on-going clinical trials in head and neck cancer as well as future trend will also be briefly discussed.
