Description
"The biopharmaceutical market in India is at the cusp of an exciting period of sustained growth, driven by growing income prosperity and a corresponding shift from acute to chronic diseases. Pharmaceutical sales are expected to triple to $16B by 2015; however, much of this growth is accompanied by key uncertainties, especially around government policy and regulations, patent infrastructure and maturity of enablers like health insurance and distribution infrastructure. In response to this uncertainty, MNC manufacturers contemplating entry
or expansion in India must consider a portfolio of core and contingent strategies to exploit uncertainties and outperform competition in the Indian market."

Objective1: Educate on the size, growth and opportunity for biopharmaceutical market entry in India.

Objective2: Provide understanding of the complex dynamics that make India a unique biotech environment.

Objective3: Describe a successful approach to entering this dynamic market.
