Description
"Open innovation" is the newest paradigm for industrial innovation management, in which entities buy and sell technology in support of their business goals on the open market rather than only rely on internal development and use. A diverse panel representing the various entities invested in the cleantech industry (universities, research institutes, competitors and government) will discuss the importance of, and process behind, creating entity-specific value from Open Innovation. The cleantech industry does not follow the traditional "closed innovation" model and as such, faces unique, complex challenges.

• Discuss how open innovation is implemented in a business model and how it is linked to corporate strategy
• Discuss how each entity can create and capture value within the open innovation model
• Discuss best practices for cooperation among diverse entities with disparate objectives
