Description
Strategic approaches will be presented for aligning company recruitment and workforce development with highly effective university training. Professional Science Master's (PSM) programs will be featured—recognized by the National Research Council as uniquely promising for preparing biosciences talent, for which Congress has authorized $37 million. PSMs are industry-responsive graduate degree programs combining the sciences with management. University and industry leaders will describe outstanding new programs across the U.S. in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, medical diagnostics, clinical and regulatory affairs, medical product development, biostatistics and bioinformatics.

• Describe workforce training partnerships with universities and the range of benefits to be gained
• Report on success of partnerships aimed at recruiting, training and retaining bioscience talent
• Identify opportunities and steps to develop cost effective collaborations with local universities
