Description
The life sciences industry continues to grapple with a well publicized decrease in productivity from its clinical efforts. NME approvals have steadily decreased over the last decade even as industry investment in R&D continues to rise. With the industry facing myriad economic pressures, current funding models clinical research have become unsustainable, placing a business imperative on the ability to identify and rationally evaluate only the most promising candidates for development. This session will bring together global leaders in pharmaceutical and biotechnology R&D who will share emerging methods for changing the drug development paradigm. Attendees will learn new solutions for more efficiently delivering medically and commercially valuable products to the marketplace.

• Review the market forces which are necessitating a reevaluation of current clinical research models and funding methods
• Provide insights from global pharmaceutical and biotechnology leaders on what the future of clinical R&D may look like
• Look at new methods being applied in the marketplace in drug development and engage with regulatory and reimbursement officials earlier in the process
