Description
Cellulosic biofuels are seen as one of the most promising environmentally sound solutions to growing global liquid transportation fuel demands. Major scientific and technological advances are being made in the use of cellulosic feedstocks for biofuel production. However, there are significant sustainability considerations that impact biofuel production, including water, resource and land management; environmental impacts; and efficiency in the production and distribution of biofuels. These critical issues will dictate if this industry will develop as an economically viable energy alternative that can play a significant role in supplying energy globally in a sustainable way.

• Identify sustainable feedstocks for biofuel productions
• Address business issues such as resource management and production
• Provide a small and large company perspective to sustainable business practices
