Description
Manufacturing in general and biomanufacturing in particular, is recognized as one of the key areas for change in a Biopharma industry facing up to new changes and challenges. We have moved well beyond a basic "build or subcontract" question, to having to respond to stakeholders and trends requiring more fl exibility and cheaper drugs. A well-thought biomanufacturing strategy is a corner-stone of value creation and powerful partnerships in this area are an essential factor in realising the value of a product pipeline. The panel will discuss views on biomanufacturing trends, what characterises value-creating partnerships and the new demands they put on both partners, in terms of fl exibility and general improvement of current production technologies, management of the relationship and ability to select the partners with the right set of technologies and optimise use of each player's knowledge.

• Adapting to market changes: reliability and fexibility
• Value-adding strategic "biomanufacturing-plus" partnerships
• Managing strategic manufacturing partnerships
