Description
The session will highlight case studies and recent breakthrough in the area of disease diagnostic, HIV and TB drug discovery and development projects, High throughput screening for exploitation of Africa's biodiversity and the advances in the food and Agriculture Biotechnology industry. Positive changes in the innovation systems and biotechnology policies in emerging countries will be highlighted. We will give an insight into investment incentives and co-investment possibilities and will also touch on technology transfer, licensing and opportunities for investing in these economies. Finally, the public perception and attitude toward biotechnology will be explained together with the impact that it is having on innovation and investment opportunities.
